Accessibility Statement

This is the chaiblend accessibility statement. This website is part of my Major Project for the MA Web Design and Content Planning course at the University of Greenwich.

I’d like to thank Prisca for providing her “Vanilla Starter Theme” which served as the bare-bones foundation for this Chaiblend project.

I built Chaiblend with accessibility in mind. My goal is to make the site enjoyable for everyone, regardless of ability or device. This accessibility statement explains the steps, I have done my best to make the site accessible to the best of my knowledge.

The site uses ARIA roles where possible so screen readers can read content labels correctly. It uses semantic HTML5 tags for structure, CSS for styling, and SVG & WEBP for visuals. The design follows a mobile-first approach and has been tested on different devices (Mac iOS, Windows, iPhone, Android) and across browsers to ensure responsiveness.

I followed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and used WebAIM resources to check color contrast.

Every page includes “Skip to main content” and “Skip to navigation” links:

  • 2 → Skip to main content
  • 3 → Skip to navigation

Accessibility is a journey. As Chaiblend grows, this accessibility statement will be updated with improvements and new testing.

If you notice any accessibility issues, please email me at chaiblend.guide@gmail.com. I will fix them as quickly as possible.
