Pudina Chai
Serving: 1 Cup
Pudina Chai is essentially mint tea. Instead of the usual chai spices like cardamom, fennel seeds, peppercorns, or cloves, this recipe uses just fresh mint leaves and a small piece of ginger. Keeping the recipe simple allows the mint flavor to truly stand out – adding more spices can overpower its freshness. When you add the mint leaves to boiling water, they infuse the liquid with flavor and a delicate green tint. This refreshing tea is especially popular in North India, in states like Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, where the combination of robust black tea, warming ginger, and fresh mint creates a uniquely invigorating experience suitable for any season.
it’s etymology
